Following on from questions on the forum, we can confirm that we have adopted Lua as our primary server-side scripting language for the Elflight Engine. We felt that this was the most appropriate choice, given its wide-spread use in the games industry and suitability for this role.
The AI engine has now been finalised in initial form and support for Lua has been incorporated. The AI system has been designed to be compatible with our general design philosophy of realtime in-world editing. These new systems will be available during the later stages of the beta trial.
